Copper’s recent price swings show how quickly market dynamics can evolve amid policy uncertainty, but trend following strategies still reveal a strong demand narrative.


Co-CIO David Aspell told Myra Picache at MarketWatch that shifting U.S. tariff expectations have already distorted copper pricing and trade flows. “Importers were rushing to get copper into the U.S. ahead of potential tariffs and were prepared to pay more to do so,” he said.
